Instructor Biography: Kirsten Bollen is a Calgary-based contemporary artist known for her vibrant and modern interpretations of the Rocky Mountains. With a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta, she blends her graphic design background and passion for the outdoors into her work. Her signature approach is to paint in matte acrylics on circular birch panels, using a fresh, bold, nature-inspired palette to translate landscapes into simplified forms. The artwork evokes the emotional resonance of place, inviting the viewers to connect with the scene. Uniqlo, Marriott, Earls, and Simons are just a few of the commercial clients that have sought out Kirsten’s unique artwork for creative projects.
